Welcome to my journey of learning Adobe Illustrator! Over the past few days, I’ve been diving into a new tutorial each day, trying to teach myself the ins and outs of this popular design tool. Since classes can be insanely expensive, I decided to learn on my own using the endless free content available on YouTube. Duolingo style – but I’m the owl now (look at me). This blog post is an accountability check for myself to show that it’s absolutely possible to learn something new on your own with persistence and practice. Let’s see how much progress I can make:

Day 3

Day 4

Day 4 I didn’t follow a tutorial. I was curious if I could use what I have learned so far to recreate a shape. I chose the original Nintendo Game Boy.
Additional Videos
It’s important to throw a few design videos in the mix. I watched these in the background, rather than actively following along.
